.

Today I'm introducing you to some of the beauty items which I find essential as a chronically ill person.Items like these can be godsends during bad flares that leave you feeling like shite.Hopefully you will find them as helpful as I do.

Dry ShampooThe first item to discuss is dry shampoo. My latest one is phil smith's volumising dry shampoo ,but any brand will do including own brand ones from places like asda which even have a tropical flavoured type.Dry shampoo is fecking incredible. With just a few sprays and a shake of your hair you can feel refreshed in an easy and fast way.For those who don't have the energy or spoons to wash this can be a perfect solution.

Water sprayI have aqua spray in the form of the avene one above ,but also in the type made by evian. These can really help on warm days and for refreshing yourself.I cant recommend them enough.

Fake tanAnother good spoonie item to have in your arsenal is a good fake tan. They can help give skin a healthy glow even when you are unable to sunbath or go outside much. This dove one is gradual and works as a really good lotion too.

Cocoa ButterI could not live with cocoa butter especially palmer's version. This stuff is mana from heaven. It can be used on skin, hair,as lip balm and more.I find it really good for my dry skin and the fact is smells so luscious just makes it even better.

Hopefully I will do another segment on spoonie beauty items soon.In the meantime I hope you like my recommendations and find them helpful for all your spoonie needs.

Mela

Went to the Glasgow Mela on Sunday which was really fun.❤️️I didn't see any turkish stalls sadly so I couldn't get any evil eyes for my mum.My dede wasn't able to get any while in Istanbul visiting family.I wore my new stripped flower dress from Sainsburys which was £11 in their sale!!!I'm actually in love with this dress and ready to organise a wedding to it.Supermarkets which do vintage style clothes are a godsend for those of us who can't afford some pricer options.I'll be putting up some reviews soon my lovelies so keep your eyes peeled! (✾꒡ .̮ ꒡✾)❤️️❤️️❤️️

Another Sunny Day

Just some more photos of me in the sunny weather recently.I'm so in love with the haircut I got done at Rainbow Rooms in Glasgow.I would really visit them if you want a cheap good haircut!

My dede(grandpa) Aycetin Secmezsoy brought home some gifts for me from his visit to family in Turkey. The Tadim is salted pumpkin seeds and are so tasty. The other item is pismaniye which is a turkish form of cotton candy.I cant get enough of either. You can get both in you local middle eastern deli/shop.I recommend them both a lot!

Capri Sun.

Its June in Scotland and somehow we've managed to have a sweltering few days of sunshine.Yesterday I tried to channel the style of those like Audrey Hepburn,Jean Seberg and Bridget Bardot by wearing my new capri style denim shorts from Simply Be...Yes Simply Be.Their denim pull on shorts are only 14 pounds and very vintage in style.Due to my huge hips etc I've always had trouble finding good jeans especially vintage style ones no matter how small or big I've been over the years.I paired the jeans with my Bardot red top from Primarks which was about 6 pounds. In love with these trousers and can't recommend ones like these enough! If you want to pull off a retro outfit on the cheap then investing in some capri style trousers is the way to go! xxx
